The 2013 Saint Paul Almanac will be launched on September 13, and I'm pleased to report that I have two poems in it and that they appear with the work of many local luminaries. In addition to the launch party, there are several readings, and I'll be reading in October at Cahoots Coffee Bar and Common Good Books. I hope you can join me. Here's the reading schedule:

I'll be reading from Breath Control, from Credo..., and from a collection in progress on Saturday, September 8, at 3 pm, at Jabberwocky Books in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The reading is part of the Powow River Poets reading series, and I'm honored to be reading along with Powow Poet Jean Kreiling. Please join us there.
Very pleased to have my "Sacred Harp Convention" noted on the blog of Marly Youmans, whose novel A Death at the White Camellia Orphanage is gathering praise from all directions. Read more about Marly's work--and the poem, of course, which is in Breath Control--here:

There's an enthusiastic review of Breath Control in the July 2012 issue of Verse Wisconsin. Here's a snippet, about "Rereading the Aeneid...": "Deceptively simple, clean, and rooted in both the cerebration of language and the slap of emotion..."
Take a look!
